The need for Engineers in Advocacy

As part of our partnership with the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and our ongoing Speaker Series,  Karen Chan, P.Eng., MBA, OSPE Past President will speak on "What is advocacy for engineers and why should you care?"

The presentation will highlight the goals of OPSE's advocacy work, and why it is important for engineers to get involved. It will cover each of OSPE's key policy areas - Energy, Engineering Labour Market, Environment & Climate Change, Infrastructure, Research & Innovation, Ring of Fire and Women in Engineering, including OSPE’s stance on the issues, what they talk to government about, and what they've worked on and accomplished most recently.

Come watch the presentations, ask questions and connect with local PEO and OSPE members over some light refreshments and networking.

Admission and parking are free. Enjoy an informal evening of information and networking!
